UK Country Roads and City Streets

HELLO ALL!!
We crossed the pond into the motherland safe and sound... with just a bit of jet lag to contend with.As we made our way to the midlands of England to meet up with family, the train ride took us through farmlands and small villages with names that called out for exploration. Names like, Milton Keynes, Bletchley, Stoney Statford, Woburn Sands and Aspley Guise.
I walked these village streets and onto the Glades and hills of the country side.
I stumbled upon this quaint thatched roof house called the Glade House, I think it is epitome of the English Cottage with the yard full of English Garden along the dirt glade road. As I visited the village of Aspley Guise horse and rider ( english saddle of course) ambled by me and a small family of ducks crossed the street in front of me. It felt like a scene from "Pride and Predjudice"!!
Lots of Earl Grey at tea time and delicious English Lager with Fish and Chips at the pub in the evening kept me satiated and happy.
Now on to London for few days , Phase 2 , with plans for a play, a museum , an art opening, gallery hopping and dinner with friends!!
Cheers!
Marti
